Though my trip to Ghana was ostensibly a vacation, I had really come to the country with work in mind. You see, it had always been my dream to set out from my home country with camera in hand to capture those sights that caught my eye and excited my imagination, as I traveled around the world.

Working with United Way: Ghana would be my first opportunity to put dream to action. After reaching out to the then United Way Ghana Executive Director, Felix Kofi Kissiedu, through our mutual connection, Janet Butler, that I was able to schedule three events during my stay in Ghana to volunteer my skills as a photographer.
